WPH v Pittwater RSL - Round 1

M
wrote on 07-Sep-22 14:49

A tough round 1. Think WPH have what it takes to make the GF twice in a row?

unlucky draw
wrote on 07-Sep-22 19:10

I would say the toughest round 1. Be a good chance of winning if they knock off Pittwater. My money is on the peninsula side though. Going with 3-1

NWSF is the home team round 1, you can see the all age draw on Football NSW's Facebook.

Full draw will be supposedly on Dribl on Friday.

Tough draw for WPH. If they can knock off Pittwater they will come up against Eastern Suburbs Premiers Glebe in the 2nd round.

wrote on 09-Sep-22 11:28

If they manage to get pass both Pittwater RSL and Glebe Gorillas, they could potentially win it...would be interesting who they would come up against later in the draw considering some strong teams are going to be on the exit after the Second Round of the draw.

Fixtures can be found here https://competitions.footballnsw.com.au/?competition=RwNl4JANjr&league=RwNlkpMmjr

...But no grounds or times have been added yet.

Junior comps seem to start this weekend, but All Age Men round 1 is on the 25th.

Sorry to say but WPH Champions of Champions quest will be cut short against a very good Pittwater who had several players come back to the Squad during the Year.

Hard, fast and don't stop for 90 minutes.

Season 2022 Over for WPH.

Looked to me like WPH had players missing. Definitely Kane didn't play. WPH controlled large parts of the game but missed chances Kane wouldn't have missed and got punished for every mistake at the other end.

Pittwater decent but I expected them to be better. Probably deserves to win but the score was unfortunate.

Every time west penno have lost this season they've come in here with a million excuses.

"We dominated possession"

"We had more chances but just couldn't finish"

"The other team had 4 shots and scored then all"

They're the new kenthurst

WPH aren't that good. They aren't a good football side.
very fir, very well drilled and they are cery good at what they do. More than that, they are consistent and deserved winners of our comp

But they are not a good footballing side

"WPH arent that good", well if that's the case, then what does that say about the rest of the competition and presumably your team? Rubbish?

Well drilled and good at what they do. Sounds like they play to their strengths and do it well. Isn't that what it's about? Pittwater wasn't super impressive yesterday but when needed the quality of players that had played at a higher level in their side produced. WPH lacked theri normal fluidity. They weren't bad and 4 shipped was probably reflective of Pittwater quality in front of goal. WPH missed their normal outlet upfront though.

H
wrote on 26-Sep-22 09:52

Just a heads up that Berowra Fielded 4 of their normal starting 11 against Kenthurst yesterday.

Wasn't very smart but they booked their end of season trip to Cairns and it took priority over COC's.

Keep thinking Pittwater are nothing special but the keep wining by 3 or 4 goals - that's what it's about !!

wrote on 26-Sep-22 09:58

Not that it matters but Berowra did field a number of ineligible players.

------------------------------------------Not sure WPH players or coaching staff have even written anything about the game. I was there just to watch. Considering they only lost about 3 games this year including this one I reckon you're working off a pretty small sample size!

lack of good coaches?
