I've only been to a few games this season, so I can't speak for all clubs here. I've noticed a lack of recognition of the rainbow community at games. The NPL women have gone as far as letting a man play for their team. What the fuck is this all about

Who gives a shit about pride round.

let's just play football....

race, sexuality bla bla is something for off the field.

when you are on the field, everyone is fair game, everyone is equal.

I've played in many different associations and comps, players in Nwsf are usually respected by one another, and most people leave it on the field.

Some of the young pups don't understand this... but we have it prettt good.

Men identifying as women, shouldn't be allowed to play in women's leagues.

it's not fair for the actual women(born women).

how will fifa handle it?

Suggest everyone tones down/completely stops this conversation. No doubt in this day and age any free speech against the rainbow warriors will see players, teams and clubs banned for life.

I fail to see how the mens comps are still called "mixed" and the womens are called "womens".

Aren't men allowed to have anything for themselves anymore?

The only way that this will get across the line is for the clubs to come together and draw a line in the sand and say we have a duty of care to our female members and will not play against Flying Bats FC.

Unfortunately the old days of people joining together in a just cause is a rare characteristic of someone character these days for fear of being ridiculed.

Time for Waud, Candy, Denyer, Tracey , Inglis, Pompeii and Nimmo to front up and make a stand.

By laws
wrote on 14-Jul-23 22:27

According to the by laws all you need to do to play women's is say you're a woman. Don't need to prove you're one or show you're transitioning. You just need to say it...

THE ROCK
wrote on 15-Jul-23 07:02

Unbelievable....

I am truely shocked how this has been allowed to happen.

not a hater by any mean, but fairs fair as much as women want equality etc, you can't have men playing against women esp if they are hurting them.

This is beyond my pay grade, but it needs to be addressed in a logical and tasteful way.

Hasn't  this been sorted at a higher level?

But in reality, Womens football is taking off, Peoples rights to identify as women is now spoken about.

So this whole discussion needs to be had.

Descrimination towards them will occur from time to time like racism still occurs from time to time, but as time goes on, so will peoples tollerence for this.

It's extremely unfair for this team to be in the womens competition.
Let me be clear, I have nothing against any gender or race going about their lives as they wish.
But we have players who have the body shape and strength of men playing against women and in some cases young girls. Our club have 14 and 15 year old girls in our squad. We've played them twice, we were concerned for our teenager's safety playing against males that can potentially injure young girls.

If this team want to play football, fantastic. But it should be in the mixed comp.

I suggest if this is genuine you speak with your club delegate who

will take it up with the association.

your girls are playing in an open division which means they can play against 35-40 year olds potentially.

I also find this funny as I wasn't allowed to play a 15 year old goal keeper in PL reserve  grade this season due to an "association rule preventing minors playing "...

Yeah they can potentially play against older WOMEN. No problem with that.

BTW, regarding your 15 yo GK, you do realise the Mens side of NWSF and the Womens side are two very different beasts. The Womens have their own rules and an "odd" way of doing some things

Good to see 3 clubs with players born as females will fight it out.

I saw the Bats this year and spoke with others that played them. Their transgender players did not stand out as footballers. The players from both teams in those games had an enjoyable, fair game as much as any other fixture. tbh the Bats attitude was friendly and positive. Their sideline was too, which is more than we can say for a few clubs. Anyway, seems hard to claim its an unfair advantage if they didnt even make the finals.

They're welcome in the comp in my view and maybe a few others can learn from their attitude to park footy.

Good Riddance
wrote on 16-Aug-23 14:26

The Bats did make the Championship finals series, just with 2 losses they can't make the Grand Final now.

They did finish in front of 4 teams and also beat the Premiers.

Irrespective that blokes playing in a female designated competition by way of gender identity is completely wrong.

As for players speaking up and saying what they believe it all comes down to be labelled as transphobic if that do.

Despite their attitude being friendly and positive on and off the field the real issue is allowing a person born as a male play against a person born as a female.

The tall, fast striker they have hits the ball better than a lot of males let alone females.

Forget this inclusion nonsense and just protect Womens football and all other sports as well.

They can play but play as they were born.
