Good night of footy at Penno for the neutral watcher. Ressies game was a decent quality, with normo looking the goods until a 10 minute patch saw them concede 3 goals. Penno first grade looked very average, goes to show don't look into pre season form.

Putney playing in Premier League is going to be a disaster this year. Bunch of hacks and people that just want to fight oppositions.

Game was a draw due to a controversial send off early in the first half. Would have ended differently if it wasn't for that.

Referee lost complete control of the game.

My favourite part was him saying the other team are hacks but it was his team that got the red card.

Looks like the west penno that got humiliated in the coc are back

Penno completely outplayed normo borh games.

Normo very lucky to only lose by 1 in ressies and very lucky to win firsts.

Hahaha wow what a sook you are.

I watched the whole game, not as a West penno player fronting.

Red card- defender was last man and completely went through the player to get the ball. That's what it looked like from the stands but could be wrong.

calling Putney a bunch of hacks.. west penno got a red and sin bin. Typical, whingers. Ref didn't lose control, you just can't get a result without the referee in your back pocket hahahah. Like to dish it out but can't take it back.

Putney dominated the game, west penno lucky to get away with a point with two very scrappy goals. Looked bang average all over the park...

going to be a long season for the Lions.

Putney a surprise package for me, they have some quality and I think they cause some upsets if they keep their heads.

Normo, complete team by the looks of it. Think they can go one better this year and be In contention for the premiership.

penno lacklustre, can't look too much into pre season.

anyone got info on other matches?

That is certainly a take, Normo deservedly won 3-1. Could've been more if not for some good saves from penno's keeper

Don't disagree that the Putney vs West Penno ref was woeful. Only caught the last 30 mins and it was insane how both teams appeared to referee the game. No surprises there was a handbags thrown after full time.

First Grade ref in Penno vs Normo was not much better. Super inconsistent with calling fouls. Hardly was able to keep up with the game.

first grade however was domination a from the eagles and little to no resistance from penno.

long season ahead unless the coach makes changes, a few of Pennos ressies should be starting over their first players from what I've seen

Worth noting that Normo's ressie keeper got injured and went off when Normo were 2-1 up. Then they had to put an outfield player in goal. Still think penno deserved to win though

Putney will have some decent quality in first grade. Their issue will be depth, same as it has been for a few years. If they get a few injuries or suspensions then they could struggle. Often ended up with 20ish players available across 2 grades in recent years.

------------------------------------------

Normo dominated the game. Penno had maybe 2 or 3 players on the park who looked like they wanted to win. There was a short fella who was incredibly quick on the left wing and their keeper pulled out some unreal stops in the second half, shame he has chicken legs and can't get the ball over halfway off a kick. The short fella was unlucky to not score that game.

one man who can kick the ball over halfway is their joke of a centre back, believe he is the coaches brother which explains why he made the team. Long ball after long ball, whenever Penno would regain possession he would kick the fucken thing for a 40/20. Also made a huge error leading to the second goal and wouldn't be surprised if he was the one in the wall that deflected a normo freekick into the bottom corner.

on the plus side, Perry hall magnificently scored a brace to win the game for ressies. Probably the greatest striker to ever grace the green.

penno relegated 2024, you heard it here first.

Ressies game looked like a walk in the park for EEW, game was over in the first half.

Firsts EEW scored off kick off and then 5 mins later. North Ryde brought it back to 2-2 through quick play through the middle. EEW score a pen from their quality right winger and from outside the box from their no.9. North Ryde were tough to put away but in the end EEW too strong.

Was surprised by Pennos lack of cohesion

agree with a comment above that some of the ressies penno players could do well in firsts

their left cb and lb in ressies seem way more solid than the same combination in firsts and could've done better to have some of those young guns in the middle instead of who played there from the start.

they only got a sniff when we took our foot of the gas and habib kept giving us the ball 😂

Useless
