Reddies only had 12 for kick off, one of which was injured very early, leaving them 11 for 80 minutes or more. A previous post from Spider states they lost 7 key players - although we reckon we noticed only 4 key fellas missing. That said, pretty hard day at the office for those boys, but to their credit, they didn't give up. 35s is very much about quantity, as it is quality. Obviously the quality is important, but if you only have minimum attendees, the second half can seem like it goes for 3 hours.

Nope, the Crows are still out playing for Glenwood I believe.

Same ASH team from last year, plus a couple. They have always competed every year and on Sat arvo - first 15 minutes - smashed 3 past us. Simple. We got towelled early!

Yes, we missed a penalty and scored an own goal any striker would have been proud of, but we were asleep and they, like any good team, punished us accordingly. Didn't change the game - they were on fire early and deserved the 3 pts.

On another note, sad to see RED forfeit on Sat to STA - rumour is they may not play again this year? Spider - can you confirm? Shame :(

Re Crows, although they had plenty of talent, never has there been such a bunch of nutters assembled in GHFA......Plenty of contenders i lnow but they were standouts. The bizaar thing was the team was run by the then chairman of football NSW, Robbie Sestan. Not only were they on field nutters they played a couple of seasons with their star player Ivan on a life ban, playing under a false name, they won the COC with him one year as well!!

Redbacks are still playing

We only have 14ee signed

We lost our sweeper in our game last week. We had 3 players away for work & another player on wedding duties with his family. We only had 9 players & couldn't borrow from our div 5 or 6 team, as they were playing at the same time as us.

Our apologies for having to forfeit. But we had no choice. Would have been a lot more than 11 down this weekend if we did turn up with only 9 players.

Stunned by the result Penno boys. But yes All Saints are not easy & glad most of the nutters have left All Saints. Alan I think runs the team & he is a good bloke. Always has been. Please tell me Robbie Sestan is not back. He should be banned for life from football. What a clown he is...

Good to hear that you havent pulled the pin, Spider.

No, Rob Sestan is not back.

Scoreline flattered us on the weekend, as Fruit said, we got a great start, but it was still a tough slog to hold on to it. They'll be ready for us next time no doubt.

Great news Spider. Was hoping it would only be a one off forfeit as you blokes love your football as much as we do and being a benchmark team for so many seasons, would have made it even sadder to see you guys go. Yeah, the old ASH team we played in the GF a few years ago were great, but 90% of those boys would go off like fire crackers with a dubious decision/suspect tackle ... and you would have them wanting to eat your children. They had a Bundesliga striker - named Bebkee? - who was lightening quick and could shoot from 30 yards with amazing accuracy. Mind you, his speed was mostly due to the fact he was 31 ... bhahaha

Yes we are down to 11 or 12 players for this Saturday but will play of course. We could have been trophy hunters & gone to over 45. But none of us wanted that. Win or lose, we enjoy this comp. Even if it is going to be a very tough year.

Always will be a changing of the guard at the top end of the table
