Boring Boring Normanhurst, Boring Boring Normanhurst. I watched the derby trial match today and they dont look to have picked any players up and they've lost at least 4 1st graders from last year. They are a reserve grade team playing 1st grade, and they couldnt even beat thornleigh who played half there team in ressies. Thornleigh tore them up but just couldnt score. Once again Normo will struggle to score goals and they play the most defensive tactics around. Thornleigh have a few bright prospects with Tim Hill and Damo looking good together. Normnahurst will rely heavily on there big 2 central defenders in Gray and Bully and there goalkeeper Frost will have to have a stellar year for them to avoid a relegation battle. Penno to hit double figures in season opener...

>Thornleigh tore them up but just couldnt score>>> yes. hope your goal scoring malaise don't continue.. and wtf are you doing with half the first team playing in ressies anyway?

can we get a report of the game? I'm getting confused, Thorns is saying normo were crap, couldnt score and were defensive. Yet DAMIEN says Normo won both games 1-0 and 2-1. does this mean that Thornleigh are even crapper? Maybe "thorns" is a little biased and we need a better report from someone we can take seriously so the other teams get a better indication of how they are playing.

Normo won but got 2 dodgy goals, including a penalty. Thornleigh dominated the game and possession but couldnt find the back of the net. Thunder will be a force, Normo to hit rock bottom

What? but they won? Did thornleigh really play half there first team in ressies?? come on dont lie now...

"WPH not to be near the relegation battle, anyone that thinks so is an idiot..." Heard West Penno had a good win on the weekend. I wouldn't be tipping them for relegation either.

We played a few first graders in reserves as they had to leave before the first game game started.

Damien, You were at the game I assume, how did you see it play out. Did Thornleigh dominate? Were Normanhurst lucky to win?

I haven't said anything about NER, Crew Cut. You are doing well. The NERds went down in both grades yesterday to Asquith 4-2 in the stiffs and 2-1 in 1sts, who had their gun striker, Hasan ?? back after missing the PEnno flogging last weekend. He scored both goals. So top 4 for us for sure. Looking forward to the Pennant Comp actually.

No Pennant Comp because Penno were dirty about no making the semi's one year and refused to play. It has never been played in PL since.

Gordy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Damien, > > You were at the game I assume, how did you see it > play out. Did Thornleigh dominate? Were > Normanhurst lucky to win? It was an even battle, but very much a typical trial match. Neither team pushed 100% as nothign was on the line. I dont think u can read much into this match as last year, we beat normo 2-0 in the same match but come the season they spanked us 5-1. Normo played to their strengths (ie. big, tall defenders who are well organised), so the game from the start was us trying to break them down, whilst they seem to focus there attack around their big forward who actually played defensive mid last season. I wouldnt say we dominated the play, but we would of had more possession. Normo were lucky with the first free kick which they scored from but their 2nd goal was a penilty.

In fact 5,4,1 is closer to St.A's favoured 4,5,1. Maybe i should be angling further south than Penno park for the deflectors.

This will take alot of emphasis of our 5-4-1 formation of being the most defensive team. Damo's spot on with his comments, there big tall defenders are all they have, they have nothing going forward.

Listen here Mr All Age, I can't play with you in All Age, OK !!! I keep telling you that I have lost 2 kilos and am at 98, hence I don't make your weigh in. you on the other hand have ballooned to 108+. Apparently you have NOT been exercising enough in marriage. Oh. A role model you say. Better that than a grandfather figure. And its his lack of antics that is putting so much weight on. Anyway, no need to worry. He called me to tell me that he had slagged me and i told him I would even the score. So its a couple of mates having a laugh. So alls well that ends well. He is still very fat tho.

Batts just remember u are looked on as a role model for these debates so what you know about bedroom antics please contain them for that arena and not this one
