Rangers - struggled at the start of the season with numbers but appear to have picked up a few new offensive players and have defensively improved on last years effort. Dicy consistency at best but have brought some new agression and enthusiasm to the field this year helping them to 3/8 wins. Another building block season, mid to late table finish. Northern - Some new faces but nothing new out of the northern team. Still look to be lacking overall defensive structure, started the season with a few beatings though have managed to slot a few goals. Young team that will improve over the years but will be battling ararat to stay away from the spoon this year. Saints - Started the season with rumours of new faces, coach and outlook. Have improved on last year and earned a spot in the top 4 come halfway with some good results towards the end. Gained some new strike power up front and structure in the middle. Will be in good position to finish top 4 and title contention if they can maintain current form and results. Redbacks - tipped initially as favourites to take the title, lost couple key players and picked up some new faces. similar build-up and agressive positioning have caused a few results to go the other way with dragons, saints and thunder all taking the points. Overall quality still there, new attitudes and enthusiasm would go a long way to improving their second half of the season. Floating on the edge of the 4, will need to pick up some more points to stay in the race for the top spot. St Pats - Quiet start to the season with some surprising results going against them, quality team across the field and probably one of the front runners coming into the season backed by only having conceeded 7 goals for the first half of games. Mixed results have kept them mid table and they will need to be at their best to claw their way back into contention. Tipping them to come home strong with a top 4 finish if they can get back to the dominant and agressive gameplay they excel at. Thunder - Surprise package, were all but written off pre-season with the loss of core players. Required to recruit well and appear to have had a good pre season that is showing with results in the start of the season propelling them into contention for the lead. Will need to pull back some form if they want to stay in it having dropped some points leading into the halfway mark. Young, agressive and clinical when given the chance. Looking strong for a top 4 finish and with some results could set themselves up for a run at the top spot. Rovers - Wild card coming into the season, having been demoted with no results in prems. Currently the most consistent team has them at the top by a few points. Having recruited a new coach and some new players look strong to finish top 4 and in a good position to fight for the title. Leaky defense has seen them scored against in most games, will need to step up and keep results coming to stay ahead of teams like saints and thornleigh in the final half of the season. Dragons - mixed bag coming into the season, some backing them to win others to flunk out. Fairly inconsistent starting half to the season sees them just outside the 4 with some big wins and big losses. Fast offensive line up that can see them break away with the game rapidly but appear to be struggling against build up and strong defensively orientated teams Can seem themselves into the top 4 and contention with a run of results and some consistency. Ararat - Not a great start to the season with barely any points taken. Agressive pack that can trouble any team even on their best game. Need to stitch up the hole in the back line if they want to take points off teams having conceded every game played. Will need to flip there season around in the second half and start picking up some wins to see anything other then the wooden spoon.
