This weekends fixtures to be washed out again?

Wouldn't it be better to play mid week fixture replay instead of doing Sat/Sun double header?

feasible?

Unless we are going to play water polo, it's off.. I wonder if the new regime at ghfa are smart enough to reschedule ghfa cup games for next week, pending ground status obviously..

Hornsby Council website and wet-weather line have grounds open as of the 2pm assessments today it appears. Surely at least PL/SL should go ahead based on that?

Is Campbell the biggest park in the association?

Juice

Not sure but view St is the same dimensions as Campbell. North Epping wouldn't be far off either.

Harris
wrote on 22-Jun-15 20:01

I would probably say Normo would be the biggest, then most likely Campbell

Horko
wrote on 23-Jun-15 09:01

KP2 would be up there in terms of size, YMCAs ground would be the smallest we play on surely

THE ROCK
wrote on 23-Jun-15 09:02

Harris Rd is short though. Probably the widest pitch in the association, but i think campbell is longer. Hard to tell hey! Its all about perspective and there is a nice enclosure round campbell, and nothing around view st.

Ben

There is a measuring tool on google earth, but I just looked up KP2 and Normo, but it was cricket season when the last image was taken...

At a guess as to where the posts are normally located, kp2 is about 104 x 70

Ive run the analysis. Measured off aerials (so take it for what it is) from goal post to goalpost and long the halfway line. The results are follows (in no particular order):

Normanhurst: 91 x 72
Campbell: 101 x 78
Hayes: 110 x 60
KP2: 100 x 70
Boronia: 105 x 61

Enzo - I used nearmap. They take aerial photos in Sydney every few months or so. I used aerial photos taken this winter when the line markings were clearly visible.

Happy for it to be scrutinised. A dumpy level and a theodolite will improve the precision.
