What happened to Kenthurst? Outplayed? Or did Hawks steal one?

wrote on 10-May-15 07:03

Watching the game from start to finish it was pretty much a stalemate in the center of the park with both center players canceling each out. Hawks captain and biddle looked the picks. Bush boys defence was in tact with gray marshaling the troops well. Agree with the above the strike force had an off day, having said that a true result would have been a draw, but the kenthurst keeper charged at one of the strikers leading with an elbow and dropped him to the ground. Penalty if you asked me as it was stupid and not needed. If a kenthurst fan, so it would have been great to take 3 points but our keeper gifted hawks a chance which they took and we couldn't convert out chances. Knipler was disappointing along with hus, but credit to the hawks in particular their keeper who really stood tall when needed. How did the hawks loose to YMCA a few rounds back?

The Hawks boys simply played us off the park. The Keepers brain snap didn't help but end of the day they were just to good.thanks Stevie and your son.

Ken were ordinary though as was the game really Very interesting pen given away by the ken keeper was the probably only one of two or three hawks attempts on goal all game. Hawks scrabble well in defence but ken were horrible in attack

Never played at a decent level and coached ressies the year before and did not even win the title. Arrogant is how he comes across and that works if you have the pedigree and the results to back it up. Anything other than winning the title has been a disaster. Maybe the time has come for Greg to step in and assist the cocky young under achiever.

I would have to agree one meeting with the guy was enough for me to say no to the Chosen one.

Exactly, the season is still young and we're still finding our rhythm just like evryone else. A couple of close games that could have gone our way and a draw against RAV (who will pull a few pants down this year mind you) that again should have been 3 points if it weren't for a soft pen at the death.
I suggest you worry about your own team.

we have 4 of our starting first graders coming back this weekend. write us off at your own peril. Yes we have started poorly but we do have the players to turn this around.

It has never happened in the 10 team format, although a few have had only 1 Win.

The most recent team to have gone through the entire season without a Win was Beecroft in 1996 ...

0 Wins
3 Draws
11 Losses

12 Goals For
48 Goals Against

They followed it up the following year with just 1 Win & 2 Draws

Was it?

There are a few things to note here. Yes we have a young coach, but there are too many boys who simply don't stand up when they need to. Blame the coach as much as you want but the puma players have to be accountable. Can't always blame the coach when you don't get what you want. Greg is missed, some even say he walked out on us, but that's life. We have probably the best squad in the comp when we turn up. So boys grow up and let's get on with it.

Im pretty sure the point of the ghfa cup is to be the best team in a knock out senario in the ghfa. Pretty sure there is a ressies league just for that.
