2010 Tipping Competition
The 2010 Unofficial GHFA Forum Tipping competition is proudly sponsored by Sydney FC [www.sydneyfc.com] and
FourFourTwo [au.fourfourtwo.com]
We are also grateful to a sponsor who wishes to remain anonymous but is a Forum fan. We have agreed to honour the request for anonymity but are nevertheless grateful for his support of the Forum and the GHFA Premier League.
1st Prize:- 2010 Silver Membership of Sydney FC. Entitles the bearer to reserved seating at all Sydney FC 2010/11 season home games (value $364).
2nd Prize:- $100 Coles/Myer gift Voucher (anonymous donor)
3rd Prize:- One year's subscription to Four Four Two, the ultimate football magazine, (valued at $80).
Rules:
1. The competition starts on Sat 27 March 2010 with the first game of the GHFA Premier League and ends with the last game of the competition rounds (does not include the finals rounds).
2. Entry is FREE and is open to all players and supporters of the GHFA Premier League and Super League and registered users of this site.
3. Only registered users of this site will be eligible for the prizes and be included in the progress tally. You can register under a phony name if you want and elect to keep your email address hidden, but to be eligible for the prize can enter only under one name or pseudonym. To register, click on the "Register" tag located at the top of this page; type in your username, email address and password, then "register". You will need to have a legit email account but may elect not to have this displayed in the next process; therefore remaining anonymous.
4. Admin will set up an "official" tips thread each week (eg Round 1 Tips) and all tips are to be lodged there. This thread is to be used for tips only. Extraneous comment and discussion lodged on this thread will be deleted by Admin.
5. All tips to be in by 7.00pm Friday preceding each round. Once lodged, tips can't be changed, except in the case of games or rounds rescheduled due to wash-out or similar event. In these cases Admin will set up a fresh tipping thread for the affected games and tips are to be re-lodged and any amended conditions followed.
6. Points will be awarded as follows (1st grade games only):
6.1 - Pick right result (win or draw) = 1 pt (for each correct game)
6.2 - Pick right game score = bonus 1 pt (for each correct game score)
7. Admin will post a leader board each week under the "Tipping Comp" tab. Results will be based on the official GHFA game results. As usual there may be some delays where game results are affected by forfeits, appeals etc.
8. If more than one entrant accumulates the same number of points at the end of the competition in either the winner, runner-up or 3rd place position, the entrant which arrives at those positions first, will be judged as prize winner.
9. To claim their prize, winners will have to supply their full name & address to Admin so that prizes can be posted out.
10. Admin decisions and interpretation of these rules will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
