I think a lot of trial games on sunday would have been affected by the Sydney FC game.

Agreed... on our behalF anyway - 5 1st graders MIA. Wakehurst still a good team though.

PHD 1 Vs Schofields 1 (First Grade)

Missed the Resserves match so don't no the score.

Fairly decent performance. Schofields dominated in the middle and most possesion but PHD still played some good stuff.

PHD have a new goalkeeper who had a great game, including 2 big saves and alot of tidy work. Other standouts was a tall speedy striker (new?) and their left winger.

Struggled a little physically and were exposed a little at the back. Expected against stronger opposition thouhg. Seemed to be missing a few player too. Matty Smith wasn't at the match at all (still playing this season?) and that tall midfielder they had last season was watching but wasn't kitted up?

Also what happened to all the premier/state league players they were meant to be signing? Didn't notice any of them other then the goalkeeper and maybe the striker who i don't think was their last season.

PHD Ressies 3 defeated schofields 2.
PHD had 4 first grade players not play including 2 state premier league players.

Fantastic performance for Pacific Hills first trial game of the season and defensively they were fantastic. If anything they seemed a little confused with what to do in attack.

Going to be a good season if they can keep their key players fit and happy.

That was PHDs first trial game? WTF? Most teams have already had 5 or so trial games under their belts. Arent PHD leaving it a little late?

Time will tell. So far it all looks good.

Don't want to burn out before the season opener.

Burn out? The season is 18 games...

But yes, time will tell, however, if as reported PHD didnt play with 5 or so first teamers, then the first time these guys will play a game together will be against WPH.

It's an interesting approach. Some might call is n00b like.

Or others a masterstroke.

People called Wengers decision to sell Henry and play with a team of kids a 'n00b' like approach.

Seems to be paying dividends though...
