What happened to the ex apia keeper?

Our "ex-apia" keeper was actually a field player playing in goals because we didn't have a keeper last year... he did a pretty good job though.

That said, he was going to play on the field this season but wrecked his knee at a kick around end of last year.

Save Our Surfaces picks up NSW Sports Award
Football NSW’s Save Our Surfaces Program picked up the ‘Special Recognition’ Award at last Tuesday’s NSW Sports Awards held at Homebush’s Waterview Convention Centre.

In a tremendous coup for Football NSW, the S.O.S. program was an initiative created by Tim Gledhill, who is the Project Manager at Football NSW and also a player of Super League outfit the Northern Tigers.

With water restrictions, drought and limited field space all affecting the quality of playing surface, Football NSW along with Gledhill’s initiative decided to invest back into the game by designing a program that would teach coaches how to best manage their surfaces.

Gledhill actively went out and spread his message throughout councils and sporting clubs in Sydney in pushing the S.O.S. program which has worked wonders.

His message attracted the support of Tip-Top that helped fund flyers used to spread the S.O.S program and it also attracted television interest with Channel Ten including it in their weather segment with Frank Coletta late last year.

Football NSW wishes to acknowledge Tim on his sensational efforts with the S.O.S. program

Tim was top goal scorer for the Tigers with over 20 goals for the season (in the NSW Super League). If YMCA have indeed picked him up, expect YMCA to win their fair share of games.

Why would Tim Gledhill wanna play for the 'Y' ,Y?

why would a top striker playing in nsw super League wanna drop a few levels and play at the dusty sand bowls of Epping?

don't believe it.

Relax Daniel 21. Those of us who have been around long enough know Browny. Whilst has been out of the PL for a while has probably been playing PL for more seasons than you've been playing football. Not too mention the Y with the exception of maybe EEW have more PL titles than all the current PL clubs.

Wish Mo all the best, he did a quality job in the sticks for the Y last year.

He would have done an even better job behind the strikers! LOL
