Poor refs don’t make you concede 8 goals champ.

Your mature aged refs were beyond ordinary today at Campbell park Mark. Feel sorry for the 13 year old linesman who had to ‘learn’ from him

Saints are going to be the mystery team this year. Not sure whether they'll lose big or win big. You really have no idea what you're going to expect from them.

From GHFA Cup winners to relegation for Rovers, I wonder if that’s the first time in GHFA history?!

Pretty sure one of the refs was a guy that was part of the GHFA board. He can hardly run. How can you give penalty calls when you're at the half way line?

All for the young refs getting a go, as they’re usually decent, but the 2 old blokes who reffed WPH v WRR were absolutely clueless. Managed to turn a pretty volatile game into a both teams having a laugh at the refereeing

Simple solution really, there is numerous ref courses throughout the year. You could go and train to become one and then have a go to fix the issues you complain about each week. Time to face the truth, you’re rubbish and at the bottom for a reason champion haha

Since when have I had an apprentice lol Agree with the general consensus though. I mean copping 4 goals against clearly the best team in the competition and then blaming the refs seems a bit over the top. Juice is correct - sounds like there's been a lot of referee's getting injured/or have been away. It's remarkable how many games actually have referee's generally...

All I read on this forum now are grown men crying about referees... locate your nuts lads and keep your chin up. When you go blaming refs for your lack of footballing ability, you’re in the wrong league. Bring back the days when real men played premier league. Tears

Hehe blame the refs for conceding goals, if it wasn’t for the rovers keeper it would of been 8 at half time

We will see you guys next year. Big win today against the redbacks, simple game plan brought out the mortein and they looked like a team battling relegation in AA7. slowly climbing the ladder collecting scalps we will get promoted by september. How did penno lose 4-0 to ryde Saints??? those ryde saints clowns couldnt hit water if they fell off a river cat and they put 4 past penno. Time penno coach gets the tap on the shoulder he'd be lucky to land a job at my north ryde kfc store after that loss.

Just saying Being taught a lesson by a polished team and having horrible refs can't be two completely different things...

I thought the refs at Harris rd, Normo were brilliant!

Saints are the new ravens. Quick out of the gates then fizzle out for a below average season.

Most games are determined by the team who take their chances. Normo went two up early from a Harris Park bobble turnover and a penalty. Hawks then were much better at finishing in an open free flowing game. At 4-2 and 10 minutes to go Normo missed a tap in from 10 yards out that would have made the end of the game very interesting. Thats football.

Watched the Epping and Nerds game. Nerds killed their chances of getting anything out of the game when they had a player double yellowed in the first half Still did well to not making the scoreline embarrassing. Epping have recruited well. Not premiership winning by any means but they have got most the team that won the SL Reserves comp.

Mark, the reality is that the association is not giving some reffs a go to do prems and instead only allowing the same reffs who were assesed many years ago to keep doing these matches and it's obvious to everyone that they need to be reffing much lower grades..

If quick out of the gates is a 9-1 loss then I’d hate to see what slow out of the gates is ... turn your brain on

That even made us laugh Floppy. i can confirm that we have not been going around telling people that we were quick out of the gates with a 14-1 aggregate loss in round 1. Maybe from round 2 on-wards we've been alright
