Goal kick wasn't given, ref waved play on because the ball bounced back out of the goal but then stopped play to talk to his linesman, and restarted the play with a drop ball to which Normo keeper dribbled into his own net.

EEW player hit a shot that went top corner, the linesman then waved down the referee to say the ball didn't go in and it was a goal kick. All EEW players crowded the ref to debate the issue to which the referee spoke to his linesman. Our Normo captain then told the referee it went in to which the referee apparently he said he can't change the decision and had to go off the assistant's call.further plea's from EEW then our keeper then kicked the goal kick into his own goal to give EEW a 2-1 lead. Sportsmanship won over in this situation, no idea what the assistant was thinking as he wasn't close and from his angle probably couldn't see it clearly as the box as full of players from the corner. Can say I've never seen anything like it before but hey. Result didn't go our way but proud of the Normo boys, good game of football to watch.

Two EEW players getting cards for protesting an obvious goal. Ref should have given his linesman an early shower but his act of stupidity. People say there's nothing wrong with our ref in the region...

Imagine how high STA would have finished if #10 was punted for someone who could shoot somewhere near the goals? Congrats to the rest of the front line for carrying him.

Did the ref drop the ball to the Normo keeper who dribbled it straight in or did it touch another player?

Credit to normo but I do agree, EEW would be the last club to do this in our league. Dive, abuse refs, time waste, and for park football, try with intent to hurt people in cynical challenges. All round bad blokes. Backing anyone else in the finals!

Class from normo! Can't believe the lack of quality officials this year it's actually pretty poor from ghfa. Hearing the hills and Granville Comp isn't much better either at all... Let's address the big issues!!! hawks not being anywhere near what we expected.. doubts about all those players who once were to hang around that culture anymore with the coach who drained pumas there. What are ravers thinking of doing now? Average at all costs. Can't even present s decent pitch either. Hats off to Penno and west Penno though. Recruitment is essential and these 2 clubs will conquer for the next few years!

All the pressure on Penno next weekend. Penno playing the nerds with one team hoping to win the minor premiership while hoping another team stuffs it up, the other looking to get a top 4 spot. EEW playing two teams with nothing to play for. I know where I'd be putting case of moderately priced pale ale. It's EEW to lose, 4 pts over two games isn't that hard as much as it kills me to say.

Hawks and Normo will be playing for pride, and the opportunity to deny grubs the premiership. It will be their last games so plenty of motivation to end on a high.

Although not many teams have beaten EEW this season, the way to beat them is simple.....the weakest link is their keeper. Take pot shots from anywhere to test the blob. He will fumble most shots whereby an attacker can pick up a tap in.Plus, he can't jump as he's a blob.

Pochettino
wrote on 30-Jul-17 19:02

Jose, Wish you told the forum your game plan for the Blob after Round 1, so the Tigers won the spoon instead of the Minor Premiership. What game plans do you have for the other teams?

That 'blob' has conceded the fewest goals in the league, think you might need a new game plan Jose.

Kudos to NOR. Never heard of anything like this in my 22 years of PL. I don't know of too many teams that would have conceded that. I guess most would live by the swings and merry-go-rounds philosophy in that you take the bad luck with the good luck, the bad decisions with the good and that they even out. Bravo though NOR.
