Too little too late I'd say but they were champions last year everyone should remember. Maybe a better question is how are Ravens doing so well? You guys have been shit for years!

All 7 of STA's remaining matches are to be played across the road from eWoo station, plus they've played PEN & KEN twice already. Lack of home games so far might be a factor in their current position on the table, and a string of favourable results MIGHT be just around the corner.

"Maybe a better question is how are Ravens doing so well? You guys have been shit for years!" We've had a few difficult seasons, but that's to be expected with generational change. We have some good kids in the club (and more to come - our 21s teams are excellent), some good players returning to the club, and plenty of good people in and around the squad. We're a work in progress but like everyone else, we're working towards stability and continuity. All this stuff takes time and patience. It takes young players a few seasons to get the hang of playing against experience. It's great to see young players across Prems and SL coming in and improving. We should all be committed to treating them well and bringing them on, because they're the lifeblood of the game.

Agree with the above, but although juniors are a big part of it, you need seniors with experience from higher levels to push and guide these young players. Players get better when the level of football improves. You can only coach players so much! All clubs should be encouraged to get players who have played at a higher level to come back once they are done to play in the PL/SL. Kenthurst seem to be able to attract big name year on year and i'm sure there are others who have gone to school/mates with players that play at a higher level.

kenthurst only attract the big names because of the money they pay and i doubt eastwood playing at home is going to help them their home ground is the worst in the league

Rumor has it Kenthurst grow local fruits and vegetables out back to sell and pay players?

Yep unfortunately prices from Sydney Airport to Kenthurst Airport have risen significantly, Definitely more than 5%, not sure where you got your information from. Qantas have stopped flying there, only REX (once daily) and Virgin (Mon/Wed/Fri). Makes it hard to get home from work sometimes but I'll tell you what there's nothing better than waking up and smelling the fresh Kenthurst air while tucking into a bowl of homemade pumpkin soup.

Some say there is now a 5% carbon tax on all plane tickets to Kenthurst now, can anyone confirm?

Can confirm KEN have a very profitable vegetable patch growing out the back of the club, I have done a bit of work out that way. Actually did some garden consulting when the club first decided they would pay their players in fruit and vegetables. The pH of the soil in the region is great for potato and pumpkin growing

Firstly, i don't know what the # crap at the bottom of a post means, so please ignore the above, he is an imposter.

Success at our club has been from a wave of players taking us from All Age to Super League and then to Premier League. Pretty much driven by Big Mac and his brother Quarter Pounder.

The Kenthurst board back then were open and accepting to the fact that Big Mac was coming with a string of players from a state league club(can't remember which one, possibly Hills United) and wanted to setup camp at their junior club.

Unlike alot of teams, the bushboys don't take football as serious as other clubs. Watching alot this year, i've seen a number of coaches who are a little up tight about their teams which looks to impact it's players. This is the key to Big Mac's success at Kenthurst is he has the pulling power from his days in state league to recruit decent players. It's very hard to recruit players who have been paid to play previously, hence why we have had to "Incentivise" them in other way(beer, culture, environment).

Don't get me wrong, Big Mac doesn't suck up to any of them, nor does Sir Luke, nor does Quarter Pounder but everyone knows their job and what is acceptable and what is not. A lot of young kids and parents have been upset about this, but they simply were classed as "too soft" and moved on.

As a life long member, i would have liked to see these players given a chance to play with some of these "ex superstars" to devleop, but Big Mac chose to keep some Dinosaurs for the social aspect rather than the young up and comers.

It hurts to see Kenthurst juniors be successfull at other clubs, but it's the price you pay for BigMac's decisions.

This season is the first season in a long time where there is a good mix between Dinosaurs and Youth on the pitch. Having said that, there is still a few vintage dinosaurs which need some culling.....

It's like the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous Periods, where slowly evolution magically happens.

Best of Luck this weekend boys!
