I found Strengths - Long balls, very physical Weakness - No one has a football brain Opportunities - If they developed a football brain, they could be dangerous Threats - Other teams that have a brain could easily expose their current very YMCA like tactic. We left at the 60 min mark, mainly because we were falling asleep with the amount of excitement on the park.

Oddly enough I could'nt find one bar someone writing a preview thread. Everyone plays a mixed team pretty much in ghfa cup clown and I don't see where ken has said oh we only played reserve players only ans whinged about it. STA v NER is another derby with a lot of history and will be a good'un too, not to mention the replay of last year's SL final won by Redbacks over Glenhaven on penalties. Normo got the easy draw and should make semis - though stranger things have happened. The other three QFs are wide open. Gotta love the drama of the cup!

We played well last night, but it just wasn't out night. Congratulations to Normo and their Blue and White Army. Not the prettiest game by any stretch of the imagination, but a win is a win. I must applaud Big Mac for his decision to play the up and coming players rather than the big name which have us sitting on top of the table in First Grade. There is no need to go for the cup this year, champions of champions is our focus!

Normo dominated early and took a deserved lead. Then took the foot off the gas for the rest of the game and invited wph forward. It was a weakened side from both teams... Didn't help that the wph coach took off their 3 most dangerous players in Isaac, Tommy louw and the captain with 20 mins to go.

True Statement Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > the only reason ST Andrews won is because > Kenthurst couldn't be bothered lifting more > silverware this year. That's actually not true... Kent have been in talks with multiplex and other major firms to build a suitable trophy room, not cabinet and those talks have meant limited room until the end of the tendering process. Theirs is quite full at present. New room should be finished in time for the double double.

ok Scotty
wrote on 30-Jun-16 11:00

How many trophies are weighing down their cabinet in 2015? One thinks that "sir luke" only managed 1 trophy for his ladies to clean last year. Multiplex should be looking to the future and building a 2nd level on WPH's club house to hold all the future trophies. Why would they waste money on a selfish club like kenthurst who are going to leave GHFA at the end of this season driven by their president who is in bed with the Hills Association.

Well contested and even game.

Normo gave their all, but Woodies had the experience.

Normo finished the stronger and were well on top but for final 15 mins but could not score.

Well contested feisty but clean game.

Woodies have a couple of more experienced midfielders and an tank up front. Normo had passion and enthusiasm.

Could have gone either way, but experience showed in penalty taking.

Normo will only get better if they keep squad together.

What I enjoyed most was the atmosphere ... good crowd and what park football is all about.

Note to GHFA....ill prepared at canteen for crowd that rolled up...15 min wait for may chips...rant over!!

Last year's final and 2 ghfa cups makes 10 1st grade trophies. They also won doubles in ressies in 05, 07, 08, 09 and 11. That's 20 since 1999.

How many?
wrote on 30-Jun-16 22:07

An STA fan was trying to tell me that's 20 trophies since they came up to prems back in 2000. That can't be right can it? I'm counting 7 on the history tab. Maybe one more GF last year and a couple of cups. That's ten max. Ressies?
