Thats a bit strange if they are played at Eastwood Oval considering STA should make both grades finals. Just a little home ground advantage and the bbq isnt that great either.

I'd have thought it makes more sense to play 1v2 and 3v4 on Wed 19th August at ELS and Christie, then loser 1v2 against winner 3v4 on Sat 22nd August at View St and Eastwood. That way all teams in the GF's get at least a week off before the big one on Sat 29th August. I'm pretty sure that was how it was done 8 or 9 years back when we had a similarly wet season. Seems silly for the GF to be third game in 8 days for half the teams playing when it doesn't need to be. Thoughts?

This was how is was done 8 or 9 years ago. There was no week off before the GF

Incorrect Juice. In 2007 Penno played Woodies on the Tuesday night at Christie (1st vs 2nd), Nerds played Tigers on the Wednesday night at Christie (3rd vs 4th). Ressies played before these games on both nights. Woodies then played Tigers at ELS on the Saturday with the granny the following Saturday at Christie between Penno and Woodies.

In 2006 there were mid week semi finals. Can't remember all the games, what I can remember and still hurts today 1st (normo) v 2nd (peno) Peno won that game at Epping oval, on the sat, Normo played I think the woodies, mid week, normo won that to have a rematch of the 1st semi, normo won convincingly in the end from memory 3-1. Normo played 3 games on 8 days and came out the winners. Mid week semis are not a new thing, however we did not have the cup in those days. Good luck to all in 2015

Knew there was one. Think it was 3-0 to nor with Moro getting crunched in the 1st half and unable to continue 2nd half and boz getting sent off for head butting Nate gray... Very smart Nate haha

A bit strange that PL Wednesday is at ELS hall and SL is at christy. Is ELS Hall a super league home ground?

Same same

ELS Hall is in much, much better condition than Christie Park, plus it's flat! It's always the location of the last semi final for Premier League so I guess they kept it there and will make for better football. Super Leagues last semi final has been at Harold West the last few years (no idea why, as it a small ground).
