Sposed to rain big time this week.

Do you think they have a contingency plan to move PL, SL, WPL to synthetic fields or will they let other divisions play instead?

Similar to 2022
wrote on 30-Apr-24 15:54

It will be similar to the 2022 season.

First Grade will gain priority and Reserves will be re-scheduled for mid-week games later on in the week.

But it could be different this year with most comps being 10 team comps. 2022 was different where we had a huge mix of 10 team, 8 team and 6 team comps

So you can't read you dumb flog. Which part of not includes PL do you not understand? Aside from fields which would obviously be the synthetics but still need to liaised, do think referee crews just sit on idle with their availability across Saturday and Sunday? Dumb flog doesn't realise the pool of referees for these games is much smaller than what is available for every other comp. Go back to your crayons or should I draw you a picture.

wrote on 04-May-24 19:38

Games basically cancelled on the basis of weather that never actually materialised. Councils and NWSF are a shambles.

Driving to work today can confirm that the grounds at Rouse Hill, Kellyville and Glenhaven were all open.

Think
wrote on 04-May-24 20:25

Nothing to do with NWSF. Ryde council closed all grounds. Hence why the hills grounds were open.

Thanks Ryde

Hornsby council open

Parra council open (Tigers)

Ryde council closed

NWSFA, instead of getting 50% of games played cancel whole round because it means more admin work.

Absolute joke
wrote on 05-May-24 07:57

Exactly my point. Ryde council close grounds for no reason - there has not been anywhere near enough rain to make any impact as proven by every other local council.

The Christie Park Clowns the compound the issue by deciding that even though half the grounds are open they are going to stop all those teams from playing as well for no reason whatsoever other than the fact that they can't be fucked to do any admin.

How on earth does it make any sense?

Think
wrote on 05-May-24 08:19

Could it be possible that, I don't know, more rain fell around the Ryde area and less in the hills?

but I agree, play the games on the open grounds in the hills council and all the games scheduled for the Ryde area played on synth.

Despite the fact it's hammered down here all night and this morning, games were going ahead all day at the Hills Centenary Reserve in Rouse Hill.

Reports coming in suggest that despite getting wet and in some cases a little muddy, there have been no player deaths as a result......

in KDSA they have a Team of people on Friday evenings doing all the changes if there are ground closures.

I don't get how this all gets worked out. If they want to allow Juniors and some All Age to play then surely we are doing what we did last week and give SL the week off and give all of PL the go ahead this weekend.

Use the Mac Uni Artifical Grounds as well.

Can't help but feel that it's all decision making being made blind-folded.
